Heather choses to use a holistic approach when working with a student requiring academic intervention.
This includes:
– Direct individualised teaching which is focused on deficits and strengths identified from thorough testing
– Sequence and structure in the programmer as well as eliciting high levels of student motivation
– Integrated packages
– Focus on building skills that are strong and improving on those which require assistance
– Long term monitoring and follow up.
